The Game Discovery Exhibition (GDX) is, by attendance, North America's largest indie games celebration. Proudly located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, GDX enters it's tenth anniversary year in 2025.

Broken into two parts, GDX has a two day professional development conference and a ten day indie exhibition co-located with Edmonton's largest festival KDays.

The Conference

Returning to GDX this year is our signature conference, offering valuable content for developers of all levels, from indie to AAA. With a range of professional development opportunities at an accessible price, this conference is designed to help you grow and thrive. Our 2025 Summits will focus on Building a Better Games Industry, Indie Supports, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in Games, and Indigeneity and Diaspora in Games. We are dedicated to fostering a stronger, more inclusive games industry—one built by and for our community. Join us for expert-led panels and presentations covering a broad spectrum of topics, including art, voice acting, business & marketing, computing science, and more!
